Question Worth Pondering
Presidio.tours is a site curated by historians, and one of the jobs of a historian is to question what the historical record doesn’t say.
So we ask ourselves: for all the Great People, Great Accomplishments, Great Things or Great Wars that you might be able to learn about in the Presidio… is anything missing?
This piece of land has been governed under the flag of the United States, and of Mexico before that, and of Spain before that! And prior to Spain’s arrival, this place was home to a Ohlone society for at least 10,000 years.
